Christmas Crane Setup

This Christmas the addition of a RC Tower Crane and Elevator has really made our constuction site "Rok". Adding to our collection which includes two RC Loaders, RC PowerSweeper, RC Monorail, RC Forklift plus the Monorail Storage Depot, 2 Start Sets and additional decks, Monorail track and chute accessories.

The challenge, of course, is always to fit every piece in our collection into the setup and create a world with enough challenges for up to four players. The RC Tower Crane and Elevator are great for building up, tall instead of wide. We were amazed at how much action we were able to fit into an approximately 3 x 5 area by building up. Plus in addition to the Monorail, the Crane and Elevator are easier for our five year old to use since they are "anchored".

With the RC Tower Crane claw we now have a good way to move around barrels which we consider toxic waste. In the current set up the RC Tower Crane "mines" balls out of a pit. The balls can be loaded into the conveyor, onto the Monorail, into a quarry or into a vechicle.

If the RC Tower Crane grabs a mixed load of barrels and balls they can be dropped on the platform and sorted. The Crane can then grab a barrel and load it onto the Monorail for a trip to the toxic waste dump.

Other challenges include sorting balls and loading up the bins. Once the bins are full the Forklift puts them on the PowerLift, sending them into the mine or quarry and the process starts again. Maybe down the road we'll get the TransGripper who can help organize the barrels. Always something to look forward to in the Rokenbok world!

My Main Factory

Products used: Action Sorter & Conveyor, RC Monorail, RC Elevator, Pump Station, Water Tower, Vehicle Lift, Power ROK-Lift and lots of Walls, Braces, Beams and Ramps!

My Main Factory is over 10 stories tall. Its taller than my brother Cole! The monorail and elevator handle the top half of the Factory and the vehicles and ramps handle the bottom half. The Factory has a 9 story Power ROK-Lift to get the balls all the way to the top into the Water Tower. My Main Factory is FUN!

Chinook Special

We’ve used a number of different components including the Pump Station Start Set, Construction World, Tower and Track, Action Sorter and Conveyor, Tower Crane with Warehouse, RC Elevator, and Monorail Track. We started with our project when Kristofer was 5 and kept adding new components with each passing birthday and Christmas. Gabriel is also becoming an avid Rokenbok driver/builder as well. Everything fits on a 4X4’ plywood table that keeps everything off the floor (including the balls). The RC vehicles are kept busy moving balls from the lower collection bins into the crane bucket which dumps into the Tower sorter for the Mononrail train. The train then dumps everything back to start the cycle over again. The TransGripper is also busy moving bins around between the 4 levels using the ramps and/or the elevator.

The Integration Station

Products used: Power Chutes Start Set (2x), Bridges and Roadways, Monorail Tower and Track, Monorail Track, Rail Station, RC Monorail, RC Power Sweeper, RC Forklift, Monorail Depot, Power ROK-Lift, Chutes and Hoppers III.

The Integration Station got its name because many elements, including the Monorail, Forklift, ball conveyor, and Power ROK-Lift, have to work together for it to function. The monorail picks up balls from the conveyor and fills containers for the forklift. These are then stored in the warehouse until they are ready to be sent up the ROK-Lift. They then travel through chutes to the ball vats where the trucks pick them up and return them to the conveyor, restarting the cycle.

Tower Extravaganza

The Tower Extravaganza was created entirely by Jonathan using virtually small amount of pieces from his collection of almost every set. The building had monorail exits at different levels with working chutes, a King of the Hill dueling area, and several other working components. He has been building and collecting Rokenbok since the age of 5.

Rokenbok Air Creation

Products used: Action Factory Start Set , Monorail Track, Down-A-Vator, RC Monorail Freighter, Monorail Crossing, RC Dozer, RC Power Sweeper, RC Forklift, Vehicle Lift, (lots of Ramps, Decks, Beams and Blocks from various sets), Nilo Table with Rok-Jax, Rail 'n Factory (plans downloaded from the web)

I like to play Rokenbok with my little brother and my dad. My brother, Christjan, likes to use the remote controls on the tractors. You have to go forward just at the right time on the Down-A-Vator to make it to the other side of the table without falling off. It's really fun. I like playing with Rokenbok a lot better than my computer because it is real! I hardly use my computer any more.

Rocken Roll World

Products Used: We used too many pieces but to name a few we used RC Elevators (2x), Construction World, Tower and Track, Action Sorter and Conveyors (2x), Tower Crane with Warehouse, and Monorail Track and lots of others!

Our 4 level construction site is connected via a Monorail elevetor shaft that goes down 8 floors. Our site runs 24 hours a day thanks to lighting found at all levels. We have very important business to run so got to go now....

We've been Rokenbokers for 3 years and we have been adding and expanding the construction zone since Daddy bought our first starter set. We are not sure if this is our toy project yet or our Dad's, but we are slowly taking over running the business now.
