The new ROK Star Skip Track is a rugged front loader, with a high reach bucket and special 'Bump & Dump' action for fast loading and unloading of payloads. Just like a real Bob Cat, the Skip Track has skid steering and can spin around on its own axis. Track drive means this tough little machine can climb the steepest hills, crawl over obstacles, and speed through rough terrain. The Remote Control Skip Track has three independent motors, so you can operate the bucket while the vehicle is in motion. And, an automatic trailer hitch means your ROK Star Controller can command the the Skip Track to hook up to its trailer.
The new ROK Silo is a high capacity storage system that can hold hundreds of red and blue ROKs. The silo acts like a 'bird feeder', spilling more ROKs out as you scoop them into the Remote Control Skip Track's bucket. The silo features our latest Rokenbok building pieces, the small curve beam and curved window. Add your Automatic Conveyor to the ROK Silo and you'll have an industrial strength ROK storage and processing station!
This great set also includes all the building pieces you need to build a ROK Blocks Trailer with storage crates and racks, and a Garage/Shed to protect your Remote Control Skip Track from the elements.

Rok Star Technology
This Rokenbok machine is controlled by new ROK Star technology. A ROK Star Controller is required, but not included.
ROK Star is a completely wireless, light-based, multi-player, multi-vehicle remote control system. This new control system allows an unlimited number of controllers to talk to an unlimited number of Rokenbok machines simultaneously. Key to ROK Star technology are high-speed data bursts transmitted by infrared light. It's this unique new data transmission architecture that allows multiple controllers to be used at the same time.
The ROK Star controller uses a combination of visible and infrared light to select a vehicle and give it a unique address. Once the ROK Star Controller selects a vehicle to control, the controller and vehicle are paired and the vehicle will ignore data transmitted by all other controllers. It's like cupping your hands over your mouth and yelling "Hey you!" to a playmate across a crowded playground.
Another key issue is the interference from fluorescent lights that often raises havoc with infrared based control systems. A unique optical filtering system was designed that rejects overhead interference from florescent lighting while allowing the high-speed data bursts from the ROK Star controllers to pass into vehicle receivers unimpeded.
The result is well designed, premium quality remote control toys that are both fun and highly functional. The new ROK Star design is more intuitive than Rokenbok's retiring RF based system, and most users will have it up and running right away, without the need to even reference instructions. Just point a controller at a vehicle and press the select button, now you are in control! No switches to set, no addresses to remember - just point, click and it works.

Works Great With Other Vehicles
I cant say Im happy with the price tag of the set, since I didnt want the parts and had to buy them along with the set, but Rokenbok's price always comes with their excellent customer service.
Until now, Ive never owned a skiptrack, and it's proven to be a very usefull vehicle simply because it enables me to load certain vehicles, the Monorail and the Dump Truck in particular, where I could not load them before. Normally I would have to make some sort of ramp or place a conveyor at a certain spot, where that would be the only spot to load those two vehicles. Since the Skiptrack has a higher reach, it can load a dump truck and monorail on the spot, and in the case of the monorail it can load one up to three squares off the ground without any kind of ramp to reach it. Rokenbok is a toy that takes up a lot of room, something I dont have, so this makes playing with the toy much more fun and convienient since I dont have to worry about loading stations for those particular vehicles using up my space or blocking off potential driving room. If there is any particular drawback to the machine, it's not the best one to start out your rokenbok collection with, but rather a good vehicle to augment your other machines. If you do not have any of the recomended vehicles for this to work with, you might find it usefull in that it can unload roks into roughly any object no more than 7 squares tall.
I would like to note that this is a three motor machine, two motors control the wheels for movement, while a third motor lifts the bucket arm. At the top of it's reach, the pistons pull on the bucket and lift it so the roks fall out. If you have something under the bucket's dump point that you want to load, you can push the bottom of the bucket against the object you wish to load, which in turn dumps the load manually as it pushes the bottom of the bucket up.
